Last weekend, at a book signing, this picture shows my love. How symbolic this picture is; the stability, the bed, the rock, that which allows me to surrender fully. Creation, emotions, and renewing chaos can flow uninhibitedly.
Many readers of my latest novel respond under posts or in reviews with, “I want a Marcel too.” I can’t help but laugh hard, thinking, “Be careful what you wish for.”
Yes, we deeply long for that surrender, the uninhibited creating, and the falling backward into a man’s arms. But on the other hand, we too must be the bedding for that man. We must stand on our own two feet, not letting our chaos and emotions wash over him like an uncontrolled tsunami.
It’s no mean feat, I can tell you. With us, it goes through trial and error too. Do we still trust each other? Do we really dare to open up? Is everything truly allowed to be there?
Can we recognize again how valuable the male stable energy is, and how it provides a foundation that allows the chaotic, creative energy of the woman to flow fully? And how important this intangible female energy is because it can truly create?
If we dare again, let go of control, open our hearts, and allow both forces to reach their full potential, unprecedented liberation awaits us—a liberation of our true creative power.
